Charter Operator Time Air To Become First European Nextant Fleet Operator

  • Europe’s first 400XT charter operator adds new 400XTi to fleet due to charter success
  • Low operating costs, superior reliability and superb customer support were key decision factors

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, May 22, 2013 – Nextant Aerospace (“Nextant”), maker of the Nextant 400XTi, the world’s only remanufactured business jet, has announced the sale of a second Nextant 400XTi to Czech charter operator Time Air.

Time Air is a leading Czech Republic-based provider of charter and aircraft acquisition and management services and is the first Nextant 400XT fleet operator in Europe.

Martin Pražský, Managing Director of Time Air, said: “The Nextant 400XT has been an incredibly popular addition to our charter service offering due to its low operating cost and outstanding dispatch reliability. We’ve flown 600 hours in the first nine months and demand for the aircraft increases month over month. We had very high expectations and the aircraft has met them. It’s the perfect jet for the charter market. In addition, the Nextant customer support has been superb.”

With its fuel-efficient, low-emission engines and impressive range (2,003 nm/3,709km), the 400XTi is ideally suited to the European market, where it has made a strong sales debut. The 400XTi is about half the price of its competitors with significantly lower maintenance and operating costs. Its full factory warranty is backed by a worldwide network of owned and authorized service centers and the world’s largest inventory of BE40 rotable parts. Now fully EASA-certified, demand for the low-cost jet is expected to grow even further. Europe is proving to be a popular market for the 400XT. Since 2011 Nextant has delivered four total aircraft to the region.

“This second order from Time Air is a great endorsement for the Nextant 400XTi and its appeal to the European charter market,” said Jay Heublein, Nextant’s EVP Global Sales and Marketing. “Martin Pražský had great vision early on of the potential for the 400XT. He made that vision a reality and proved the aircraft’s value to the charter market.”

“Since achieving EASA certification last year, we have experienced a huge amount of interest from charter operators across Europe looking to introduce the 400XTi into their fleet,” Mr. Heublein continued. “We offer a product with best-in-class comfort, range and technology with world-class after-sales support and all for a fraction of the cost of operating comparable aircraft. With such a proposition, we fully anticipate the Nextant 400XTi will become the backbone for light jet charter service operators across the continent.”
