Nextant Aerospace Appoints John Daut As US Regional Sales Director For The Northeast

  • The Nextant 400XT was designed for the Northeast with market leading range, performance and the best value proposition in the industry
  • Nextant Aerospace sees strong initial demand in the region
  • Former Marquis and NetJets sales leader will drive sales activities in the Northeast

CLEVELAND, OHIO, May 7, 2013 – Nextant Aerospace, the pioneer and global leader in remanufactured business jets, today announces the appointment of John Daut as US Regional Sales Director for the Northeast. Daut, who previously led sales efforts with market leaders Marquis Jet and NetJets, joins the company with exceptional knowledge of the business aviation market and customers. With a 2003nm range, market-leading cabin comfort and an acquisition price half that of competitive aircraft, the Nextant 400XT is the ideal light aircraft for the Northeast market.

“We are excited to have John join the Nextant team,” said Jay Heublein, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. “John has proven track record with two of the most successful sales organizations in business aviation and he knows the Northeast market very well. The 400XT was designed specifically with the Northeast customer in mind. We took a look at the shortcomings found in earlier light jets and developed an aircraft with the range, performance and overall value proposition that Northeast customers have been waiting for.”

John Daut brings 30 years of experience developing new markets in complex selling environments. Prior to joining Nextant, Daut was Executive Vice President of Sales for Marquis Jet, the market leader in jet cards. At Marquis, he grew revenues from $400 million to $900 million and added over 1,000 new customers. After Marquis’s acquisition by fractional giant NetJets, Daut was appointed Senior Vice President for Sales where he led Northeast sales efforts and oversaw the company’s expansion into Asia.

"The industry continues to offer a multitude of solutions for those looking to leverage private jet travel,” said Daut. “Choosing the best solution means understanding the options, the clients’ needs and working as their advocate. Nextant is incredibly exciting to me because it's a game changer. It has the range, comfort and performance that the market demands at a significantly lower price point. Plus, it has the warranties, service network and parts distribution infrastructure you would expect from any major manufacturer.”

Since its launch in 2007, the Nextant Aerospace value proposition has proven hugely attractive in the US and around the world. The company has delivered 26 aircraft to six countries since late 2011 and began 2013 with a sales backlog valued in excess of $175 million. The Nextant 400XT boasts an impressive 2,003 nautical mile (3,709 km) range, which means customers can fly from New York Teterboro to Aspen, Phoenix, Mexico City or the Caribbean without refueling. Its ergonomically-designed cabin optimizes space and efficiency while low noise levels minimize fatigue. Fully equipped to support high-value users, its data and communications systems ensure maximum productivity at all times. Low maintenance costs are backed by a full factory warranty, a global network of owned and authorized service centers and the world’s largest inventory of rotable parts for BE40 series aircraft which includes the 400XT.
