“We are excited to introduce the 400XT to the Chinese market,” said Sean McGeough, President of Nextant Aerospace. “We continue to see strong interest in China and throughout Asia for our aircraft. Increased business activity throughout China means there is a greater need for efficient business travel while at the same time people are increasingly focused on value. Our aircraft delivers all the comfort, range and performance of competitive aircraft at 50% of the purchase price and with significantly lower operating costs. These are attributes which are proving popular with the Chinese market.”

There are currently 342 entry level jets in Asia Pacific, which it estimates are worth a total of approximately $1.23 billion . Nextant research reveals that the market is seeing long term growth, but at the same time many owners are looking to sell their existing aircraft and buy new ones that are more fuel efficient and offer better value for money.

“The business aviation market in China has shown rapid growth,” said Mr. McGeough. “Indeed, over half (53%) of its entry level jet fleet is less than 10 years old¹. We intend to grow with the market, both with our current platform and with upcoming products that address specific needs of the Chinese market.”

Nextant is also launching its air ambulance configuration and will be demonstrating its air ambulance equipment manufactured by Spectrum Aeromed at ABACE.
