  • Nextant’s regional representative GFM Aviation selects Aerie Aviação as exclusive sales agent in Brazil
  • Japi Aeronaves is named first authorized service center in Latin America
  • Nextant Aerospace expects strong demand from Brazil, Latin America’s most important market

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL, August 13, 2014Nextant Aerospace (“Nextant”), maker of the Nextant 400XTi – the world’s only remanufactured business jet – and the forthcoming Nextant G90XT turboprop, today announced Aerie Aviação (“Aerie”) will be its Exclusive Sales Agent for Brazil. Aerie will work with Nextant’s Latin American representative GFM Aviation in this important market. Nextant also announced the appointment of Japi Aeronaves (“Japi”) as the first South American Nextant Service Center. This is the twelfth center in the dynamically expanding Nextant global customer support network of factory-owned and authorized service centers backed by the world’s biggest and most responsive parts inventory.

Aerie Aviação

Based in São Paulo, Aerie has a strong track record in the Brazilian market, completing over 100 aircraft deals in the last 10 years alone. Aerie’s highly personalized approach combines unmatched agility, technical knowledge and transparency with in-depth understanding of the customer’s aviation and financial requirements. “Brazil is one of most important markets in Latin America,” said Manuel Fasce, President of GFM Aviation, Nextant’s exclusive Sales Representative for Central America and most of South America. “We have confidence that Aerie has the sales experience and knowledge of the Brazilian market to achieve great success with Nextant’s aircraft. Over the last six months we have seen strong interest in both 400XTi and G90XT aircraft from the potential buyers in Brazil. We look forward to Aerie capitalizing on that interest.”

"We have a strong tradition of business aviation in Brazil and are very happy with the arrival of a new executive jet and turboprop to the Brazilian market,” said Cassius Polli, Director of Aerie Executive Jets. “Compared to the competition, the Nextant 400XTi offers the most benefits to the buyer including the range, speed, new engines (Williams), new avionics (Pro Line 21), low cost, lower operating cost, security, support, cabin comfort, reliability and still the best return on investment category. We expect the same advantage from the Nextant G90XT when it comes to market early next year.”

Japi Aeronaves

Based in Jundiai airport in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, Japi has been providing aircraft maintenance services for over 15 years. Many Brazilian operators already rely on Japi’s 24/7 comprehensive maintenance support. The company has a strong tradition of service with a specialized workshop for the Beechjet 400A and Hawker 400XT aircraft that currently serve nearly 60% of the Brazilian fleet. Japi’s local capabilities will now benefit from the large spare parts inventory and global parts distribution infrastructure that allow Nextant to achieve a fleet AOG return-to-service rate of less than nine hours.

“With performance, range and comfort that match or outclass the competition with just half the purchase price and lower operating costs, Nextant offers a perfect solution for Latin America”, says Manuel Fasce, President of GFM Aviation, Nextant’s exclusive Sales Representative for Central America and most of South America. “Nextant’s remanufacturing program proved to be an international success, delivering 45 aircraft to five continents within their first two years of production. We see the same potential for the Latin American market. Now with Japi being authorized as the service center for both platforms we have the best support system in the region.”

Nextant Remanufacturing

With 45 aircraft already delivered to five continents and over 28,000 fleet hours flown, Nextant’s remanufacturing program has proven to be a global success. Remanufacturing is defined as “a comprehensive and rigorous industrial process by which a previously sold, worn, or non-functional product or component is returned to a ‘like-new’ or ‘better-than-new’ condition and warranted in performance level and quality”1. Remanufacturing is not the same as recycling nor is it a modification program. It produces products at a fraction of the new-build cost and with significantly lower raw material consumption and greenhouse emissions.

1 Definition by Remanufacturing Industries Council.

In the US alone, this is a $50 billion industry with 180,000 workers and is growing at 15% per year. Nextant is bringing the benefits of remanufacturing to the Brazilian market: aircraft that offer superior performance, a quieter and more spacious cabin and world-class reliability. Starting with some of the most popular and reliable airframes ever built, Nextant remanufacturing provides aerodynamic and engineering enhancements, state-of-the-art avionics and engines, advanced acoustic insulation, handcrafted interiors and custom exterior paint designs. The aircraft sell for roughly half the cost of new-build and produce significantly lower emissions to build and to operate.

Nextant Aerospace

Nextant’s pioneering process for remanufacturing business jets is now recognized as an established technical and commercial success worldwide with significant sales in every major operator category and class-leading levels of comfort, performance, and reliability at a purchase price half that of comparable aircraft. The revolutionary 400XTi light jet features Williams FJ44-3AP engines and the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21™integrated flight deck. The same winning combination of the latest technology in remanufactured airframes is expected to repeat this success with the G90XT turboprop powered by next-generation GE H75 engines and an enhanced Garmin G1000 integrated flight deck. Founded in 2007, Nextant is a Directional Capital company based in Cleveland, Ohio. For more information, like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter @nextantaero or join us on LinkedIn.
