Nextant G90XT On Pace For Year End Deliveries

  • Nextant has taken deliveries of first set of General Electric H75 engines
  • First test aircraft is currently undergoing Nextant “Remanufacturing” design process
  • Initial customer response to G90XT extremely positive

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, May 20, 2014 – Nextant Aerospace (“Nextant”), maker of the Nextant 400XTi – the world’s only remanufactured business jet – and the forthcoming G90XT turboprop, today announced that it has taken delivery of the first shipped set of General Electric H75 engines and is on track to start customer deliveries of the Nextant G90XT turboprop by yearend. The delivery marks a significant milestone for both the G90XT and the European-made GE H75 engines that will power it.

“We are proud to announce that our G90XT development program is underway,” said Nextant President Sean McGeough. “Our first aircraft is well into Nextant’s “Remanufacturing” design process and we plan to start test flights this summer. The G90XT development process has greatly benefited from the strong collaboration with GE to optimize the propulsion system for the G90XT. Together with the enhanced Garmin G1000 Flight Deck, integrated electronic engine control and single-lever power control we will produce an aircraft with superior safety, reliability and performance.”

The G90XT will feature the ultra-low maintenance GE H75 engines which is both FAA and EASA certified. The state-of-the-art H75 engines do not require hot sections or fuel nozzle maintenance. With a time between overhaul of 3,600, the engines are virtually maintenance free for years.

“The cost savings from reduced maintenance requirements coupled with the H75’s lower fuel burn should mean a significant reduction in the G90XT’s operating costs,” said Brad Mottier, Vice President and General Manager of the Business and General Aviation and Integrated Systems organizations at GE Aviation. “We look forward to verifying these savings during test flights.”

GE’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Prague, Czech Republic will also be home to Nextant’s EMEA completions showroom. Customers from across the region will be able to both tour the manufacturing facility and choose the cabin specification for their Nextant aircraft.

The aircraft will be supported by Nextant’s extensive network of owned and authorized service centers, complemented by GE’s global service network. Spares will be strategically placed in the regions as customer deliveries increase. Nextant recently announced an expanded customer service team with a 27/4 hotline for immediate trouble shooting anytime, anywhere.
